Exciting Week Ahead

Last week was crazy, what with superb tastings and big shows in the Cape Town area. There will be a nice review of the Food & Wine Bloggers Meeting we did with Food24 up on our website this week, once all the reviews are in. The Cabernet tasting we did was very well received with the crowd who were there as well as extended coverage on Twitter as it was being held at the same time as a whiskey tasting online. The competition was fun to watch as it unfolded live.

This week, no different. Here are a couple of exciting things ahead this week:

The 2nd Shiraz Showcase takes place at the Roof Terrace of the CTICC. This Thursday, 26th of August, 2010. R100 gets you into the central showcase for Shiraz in South Africa. If you have any interest in Shiraz, please make sure to attend and come taste some from Haut Espoir, undoubtedly the block of vineyard that gets belted by the wind more than any other in the country. It shows in the wine and Rob will be more than willing to tell you why…

Another event taking place which we are a part of is happening at Kirstenbosch this week, albeit on Friday.

James Stewart
