Our Wines
18th June 2009
All grapes are handpicked in the coolness of the early morning. We use traditional wine making techniques with meticulous care taken at all stages in the making of our wines. Red wines are aged primarily in 225l French oak barrels, and Hungarian barrels are also used to add flavour and complexity to the wines. Whole berry maceration and barrel malolactic fermentation are normally employed. For the white wines, both barrel and tank fermentation methods are used. Irrespective of the process, our signature is “careful, handcrafted attention”.
Our wines are bottled under two labels:
These fine wines are made for all occasions. The emphasis is on well structured wines which reflect the classic varietal characteristics, and have subtle but intense fruit flavours. They are the perfect accompaniment to fine foods or can be enjoyed on their own.
The wines bearing this label are from fruit that has been selected from single vineyards, for its potential to produce great wine. With careful, handcrafted attention and oak maturation, the wines are powerful, intense yet soft with remarkable structure. Reserved for those special occasions, these wines can be enjoyed on their own or with a wide range of cuisine.
These Black Label wines are no longer available, and as such we will treat them as our “Archive” wines as of December, 2009. Thank you for understanding.
