Our Philosophy and Technique

We produce distinctive, handcrafted wines in harmony with nature. Our biodynamic viticultural practises and traditional winemaking techniques ensure our wines reflect the unique terroir where these grapes are grown. The vineyard consists of noble red cultivars:  cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc.

Semillon 2014

Aromas of dust and fynbos & hanepoort tones, with a palate of lanolin and honeycomb. 17% barrel-aged in oak, giving depth to the palate with a long, elegant finish. Ready to drink now, and will further mature in bottle.

Chardonnay 2014

Lime green in colour with characters of pear, citrus and greengage. As the wine warms up cinnamon and a capsicum spiciness develop. The wood lends a toastinessand has produced a well balanced wine, with a big finish with complex structure. Drinking beautifully now, and will mature for another 2 years in the bottle.

Gentle Giant 2010

Our extremely popular blend of 5 oak-aged red cultivars. Warm spices dominate the nose, with ripe berries and crushed black pepper on the palette. A smooth, rich wine to be enjoyed now or aged in the bottle for a few years.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

An unfiltered wine Oak barrel matured for 20 months. Cranberry is the dominant fruit, with almond notes. Complex toasty flavours imparted through oak maturation.

Shiraz 2008

A shiraz showing firm tannins. The dominant characters are blueberries and cherry with white pepper on the nose. Complexity is added from sensitive oaking and barrel maturation.
